LARGO, MD- RELiving With CP Team, Inc., is launching its inaugural podcast August 7.  The podcast series “The Journey: Living With Cerebral Palsy” serves as a platform for teens and young adults to discuss their lives, experiences, perspectives, joys and challenges of living with cerebral palsy. The inaugural podcast introduces RELiving With CP Team and its charter members to its audience. The founding members of RELiving With CP Team, Inc., Ryan Ward and Emily Rowe both graduated from Kennedy Krieger High School in Baltimore in 2019 and 2020, respectively.  Both have lived with cerebral palsy since birth. Cerebral palsy or “CP” is a congenital brain condition which impairs muscle tone, movement and motor skills.

Living with cerebral palsy, Emily has faced challenges. However, she does not let her disability define her abilities or what she does. Rowe is currently a second year student at Montgomery College studying Food and Beverage Management. “I am so excited we as an organization have produced this podcast which allows us to share our stories as a community,” Rowe said.

Ryan Ward, currently attends an adult day facility.  He plans to enroll in the  Maryland Department of Rehabilitation Services for vocational training and pursue full time employment opportunities. He is also excited about the podcast. “I look forward to the  opportunity to give voice to a community of teens and young adults whose stories will certainly  inspire others,” said Ward.

The podcast series “The Journey: Living With Cerebral Palsy” will be aired on SpotifyRELivingwithCPTeam.org Media Page, Apple Podcasts and wherever podcasts are heard.
